2023-10-24Remove 'grp' and merge into 'nss' and 'posix'Arjun Shankar1-207/+0
The majority of grp routines are entry points for nss functionality. This commit removes the 'grp' subdirectory and moves all nss-relevant functionality and all tests to 'nss', and the 'setgroups' stub into 'posix' (alongside the 'getgroups' stub). References to grp/ are accordingly changed. In addition, compat-initgroups.c, a fallback implementation of initgroups is renamed to initgroups-fallback.c so that the build system does not confuse it for nss_compat/compat-initgroups.c. Build time improves very slightly; e.g. down from an average of 45.5s to 44.5s on an 8-thread mobile x86_64 CPU. Reviewed-by: Adhemerval Zanella <adhemerval.zanella@linaro.org>

grp.h declares endgrent and getgrent if __USE_XOPEN2K8 (i.e. 2008 edition of POSIX, non-XSI). However, the 2013 Technical Corrigendum corrected the grp.h specification to XSI-shade these functions as in previous editions (see <http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=24>), so they should not be declared for non-XSI POSIX. This patch corrects the conditions - using __USE_MISC || __USE_XOPEN_EXTENDED to match setgrent - and the conform/ test expectations for this header, thereby fixing the conform tests for this header for XPG3 (where the expectations were wrong) and the linknamespace tests for it for POSIX2008 (where the header bug meant it was wrongly considered a problem for endgrent to bring in a reference to setgrent). Tested for x86_64 and x86 (testsuite, and that installed stripped shared libraries are unchanged by the patch). This patch cleans up following the obsoletion of _BSD_SOURCE and _SVID_SOURCE by combining __USE_BSD and __USE_SVID into __USE_MISC. The only non-mechanical part of this patch is the changes to features.h; everything else is simple substitution of __USE_MISC for the old macros. Thus, this patch leaves obviously redundant conditionals such as "defined __USE_MISC || defined __USE_MISC", and does not update #endif comments where they referred to BSD or SVID in words instead of the literal macro name. This is intended to facilitate patch review by separating the less mechanical changes from these purely mechanical changes into a separate patch. (I do intend to integrate all the changes from <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2013-12/msg00226.html>, which I believe includes all the trailing comment updates, in subsequent patches.)
